New Bootlovers.com previews for #66!

Hi again!

When I was recently in California, I got the chance to do two shoots for Bootlovers.com, the best boot fetish website on the web! The previews for edition Bootlovers.com #66 will be up very soon... but here's a sneak peek - a shot from one of the two galleries we did!

The above is a picture from the first set of photos - Myself in leather, wearing a fabulous pair of boots I own - the only pair like it in the world! They are thigh-highs by Little Shoe Box, fashioned in black calf with a hand-cast, white-bronze heel! They have a 1.5" platform and boast a 7" heel in solid metal!

You'll have to read the Bootlovers preview to find out how I came to find such a unique pair of boots! As you can see, I also have great spurs that suit these boots - in shiny stainless steel with a brass rowel!

When the next preview shots are released in the next few days, I'll be sure to post more sneak previews of My galleries on Bootlovers.com! In the meantime, check Boot Lady Teri's blog on Twitter here for details of the upcoming edition #66!

Enjoy the pictures - I'll be sure to post new ones very soon!

Best, in Boots!

Hi Ms Ariel!

Hope you and Rbbrluvr are great! I heard from a road runner/little bird that you were going to be in the desert! I hope you really enjoy the environment and the wildlife, even though the "wild life" is strictly fauna...

Good coffee? The only quality coffee I found in My time in LA (and believe me, I LOOKED HARD) was at "Fix", 2100 Echo Park Ave. I embarrassed myself to such a degree about being happy to see them they ended up giving me free coffee!

Take care and most likely will see you in September!

Nice Photo.

Makes me want to came back in my next life as a pair of spurs.

Oh on the search for a good coffee in the states. A friend of mine who was over there touring with Paul Kelly ( the singer ) ended up jumping the counter in many coffee shops and brewed his own.

Ha ha! Thanks for your "in-spur-ed" comment...

I know what goes into making good coffee and I nearly wanted to do the same! I found it infernal that when offered expresso, the fine beverae still came from a machine where you pressed a button! Terrible! I ended up buying my own little stove-top number...

Happy travels,

MT

Thank you! They are pretty cool - and the heel is really cold, (in temperature) it's quite strange to play with them on warm skin...

Take care and hope you are feeling better!

Wonderful and adorable boots and I guess they prove you as a real boot fetishist for sure, not only a boot buyer or wearer.
I am really looking forward to your galleries in next issue of Bootlovers.com.

For the love of special and vintage boots,
Thomas aka manoleat

Hi Manoleat,

It's a pleasure to finally make contact with you. I've seen your name pop up in a few places including Simon's (latexsubbies.com) Boot Blog, I've watched a couple of your auctions on Ebay - the two pairs of Ablemen knee highs you sold a couple of years ago, etc. I hope you and yours are well and thanks for your posting.

These particular boots are not the pinnacle of my collection, although they're a favourite - mainly for their provenance. I prefer more extreme and older styles. My two pairs of Ablemen ballets are strong favourites - one with the stiletto and one with the block heel, both of them customs. I also recently found a pair of stiletto'd Ablemen lace-up knee highs with a 1" platform - apparently a more rare style? Out of my LSB collection I prefer the two identical pairs I had custom made first. They have exceptional fit, although they're not the most extreme of my collection. My most extreme are my LSB 12" heeled 7" platform zip up crotch highs in black patent. I actually got these off Simon.

I'm currently work-shopping a boot maker down here in Australia as I'm very frustrated with the lack of talent in the international boot scene right now. Out of sheer frustration, I will try to engineer my own! (wish me luck!)

Please accept my very best and may our paths cross in the future. Hopefully not over the same pair of boots in a shop window. I hope you also enjoy the Bootlovers.com galleries. The one of me in the Atomage leather suit with the Ablemen (true) crotch highs is great - those boots are just a perfect fit over leather!

Dear Mistress Tokyo, I read with interest the above reply in relation to you engineering your own boot design. I wish you every success and thank goodness there still remains in this world ardent boot devotees with a taste for the vintage styles.
kind regards,
evolg

Hi again evolg,

Thanks for your interest in My boot machinations! Getting boots made is a work in progress at the moment for Me - amongst My myriad other projects! I also find few people who seem to really favour boots, fewer in Australia!

I've always preferred vintage fashion of all sorts - I have a degree in Costume Design so historical costume has always been a passion. I then discovered later that certain costume artifacts had fetishes attached to them...!

I'll be sure to share My boot making news with you in time.

Thanks for your message and be well,

MT

Dear Mistress Tokyo, you're most welcome. Hopefully I can book a session with you one day to experience first hand your lovely wares ;-)
kindest regards,
evolg
PS
if you think there's a drought of genuine boot lovers, pity the poor sods like me who also have the added weakness for opera length kid gloves ;-)

Dear Mistress Tokyo, apologies if you're aware of this but given your background in costume design I thought this may be of interest to you, something I stumbled up recently:

http://blog.metmuseum.org/blogmode/2008/03/22/bootleg-sin/

The genesis and origins of what we now appreciate fascinates me ;-)
kind regards

Hi again evolg,

Thanks for your message and for the link to this blog...

Yes, I have seen these boots - although not in the real! I'd love to have access to them one of these days...

I'm fascinated by these origins too - and how they find genesis in our collective consciousness.

Be well,

MT

Hi Mistress!

Hope you're well! Thanks - these are really great boots! Although they are a bit of an experience to walk in, as each heel weighs about 1kg!

The heels are always really cool to touch, which I find really different...

Take care and have a good weekend!
