The study was conducted by clinical psychologist Cindy Meston and David Buss, an evolutionary psychologist. Their findings have been turned into a book soon to be released, "Why Women Have Sex".
Meston and Buss interviewed 1,006 women from all over the world about their sexual motivation, and identified 237 different reasons why women will have sex. Ninety-three percent of the women surveyed were heterosexual, while the age range was between 18 and 86.
They write: "Some women have sex to feel powerful, others to debase themselves. Some want to impress their friends, others want to harm their enemies." Some women had sex to get rid of migraines, as a stress reliever, to beat depression or to burn calories. Some woman loved the dominance that came with initiating sex and "demonstrating power" in the bedroom.

Arizona Men of Leather presents leather contest

Arizona Men of Leather (AML) is sponsoring the Arizona Leather Sir / Leather boy Contest Saturday, November 7th, at 11:00 PM at Velocity, 2303 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ. AML will award a cash prize of $125 to each of the two winners. Each winner will then be expected to enter the Southwest Leather Pride contest to be held in Phoenix early in 2010. There is no entry fee for contestants and there will be no door charge or cover charge for attending the event. AML membership is not required to be a contestant.

Hosting the contest will be Stephen Palaschak, SW Leatherboy 2008, 1st Runner-Up, International Leatherboy 2008, and Daddy Kenneth, Mr. Cellblock Phoenix Leather 2008.

Leather Sir and Leather boy contestants are scored by a panel of five judges specially selected from a list of prominent members of the Arizona leather community. Using an Olympic scoring system, judges score contestants based on their interviews, on-stage introductions, image, fantasies, and physique.

J.R., AML President, explains that AML contest winners are expected to promote the goals of the Arizona Men of Leather organization in a positive light, organize three
fundraising events, and help with fund raising for worthy causes throughout their title year.

Arizona Men of Leather (AML) is a male-identified Leathermen's social group consisting of individuals who seek or live the Leather/SM/Fetish lifestyle,
providing opportunities for friendship, mentoring, education and support of our community.

Latest travel plans - I'm sneaking a quick trip over to the Bay Area in three weeks!

So excited - I'm going to be spending Thanksgiving with special people - it's a holiday I'm not all that familiar with apart from seeing holiday specials on telly... but I've been promised a Tofurkey and all sorts of random American goodies so I'm really looking forward to it!

I arrive in San Francisco on the 25th November and leave on the 5th December - taking sessions in Sydney again on the 8th ;)

Sorry to all my fabulous NYC subs I won't be making it to the East Coast this time round... but I'm bound to be back some time next year I'm sure!

Glamming it up in NYC for Halloween with Borg Teddy and a very confused puppy dog.

We stayed at a kink B&B/wildlife sanctuary in Aus - they have pet kangaroos who love the fire!

Just a few quick housekeeping notes.

*I'm off to London again....but not for a while! 13th December through to 13th January.(Yes..I will be shopping for rubber ;))

*Same day sessions. I've had quite a few requests for same day sessions recently. I do not session same day with new clients. If you're known to me I may grant you a same day session provided you contact me between 9 and 10am on the day, ask me very, very nicely and I have time available.

*Body worship. I guess hope springs eternal here but no I do not allow intimate body worship in my sessions. What does this mean? Well if it's covered by a bikini then you won't be worshiping it. In this instance asking very, very nicely won't change my answer :)

*Private number calls. I do not accept calls from private numbers. If you wish to speak with me you will need to unblock your number.

*Texts. These can be a great way of contacting me to arrange a time for a session. However if you are not known to me I will need to speak with you to establish compatibility before a booking is made. I will not engage in lengthy text discussions regarding session content.

*Confirmations. Bookings need to be confirmed as instructed by me.

*Cancellations. If you are unable to attend the session you have booked please be courteous enough to cancel your booking.

I took a heap of photos in an extended heavy bondage session I did a couple of days ago - soo much fun! I've been really enjoying my new leather bondage toys - the sleepsack but especially the leg sheaths. They really turn any position into something really restrictive as the legs aren't able to squirm at all... plus they smell amazing if you're that way inclined ;)

This session actually started with the slave in bondage in the standing cage up on the South Floor - but I didn't get any photos till I moved him to the cross for some flogging... loads of other stuff of course, but here are some happy snaps of some of the cool things that went on.

One of the great things about Carisbrook for me is having so many different spaces to play in - a session can move around rather than just stay in one room.

So I've been trying to stop the automatic arrival of all my tweets here in this journal - cause really, if people want to follow me on twitter then can follow me over there...

But for some reason I can't get the third party thingy to recognise that it's even doing it! Eek - I've emailed their support so will hopefully be able to stop it all soon - otherwise I'll be dropping in and randomly deleting the posts. I don't like the look of a whole lot stream of tweets instead of whole sentences ;)

Sooo - what's been happening in big words... Lots of goodness!

I went to Melbourne for both weekends of OzKinkfest 09 which was awesome fun - huge thanks to all the organisers for putting such a great run of events together. I was a very spoiled Mistress because for both weekends I was travelling with my slaves - it's so much more relaxing than having to do my own unpacking! So nice to come home from being all glamorous in heels and get a nice relaxing foot massage and a cup of peppermint tea :)

So many fantastic shows at the events - and so many fabulous kinksters who I got to meet and hang out with. There are some serious sadists (and masochists) down there - I fit right in and made some new friends ;)
